The current evidence is still that most cases appear to be mild but people with weakened immune systems, older people and those with long term conditions such as cardiomyopathy and myocarditis may experience complications.

A clinical trial has launched at the Hammersmith Hospital in London, the trial is the first of its kind and involves a specialist device called a V-LAP device. It is hoped that the device could improve the quality of life for people living with heart failure.

You may see Coronavirus being referred to as COVID-19. The symptoms are the same as we have previously reported which can include coughing, sneezing, high fever and shortness of breath. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common such as cold or flu.
